Showing Appreciation…And Enjoying Some Delicious Honey Garlic Shrimp

Last night, I decided to cook a new recipe for my family. It was a very simple stir-fry dish consisting of shrimp, honey, soy-sauce, ginger, garlic, chives and cilantro with a side of turmeric basmati rice and steamed broccoli. My husband and kids instantly devoured it!

This morning, I found one of my husband’s pink notes (which is now stuck on the fridge where I can see it daily).

The shrimp dinner was delicious babe…I really love how well you take care of each of us…

Just a few simple words made me feel so appreciated! Sometimes in the mound of laundry, dishes, cleaning, cooking, comforting, soothing, bath-times, diapers, bedtime routines and other daily activities, you start to wonder if you are making a difference or if what you do matters. It does matter! You do make a difference!

I never tire of being told I am appreciated by my family. It is like added fuel to keep me going.
