The Funny Things Kids Say

Caleb: “Mummy, did you buy daddy at the store?”

Mummy: “Nope, and we can’t return him to the store either!”

I love how kids think. They are so curious and genuine, not afraid of how people are going to react to their questions or comments. My children teach me so much every day. From their enthusiastic attempts to learn a language to trying to understand the world around them. I am reminded that it is good to sometimes slow down our busy world and look at life through simple eyes, just like a child.

Have a beautiful day!

  1. I love this….love when parents stop and truly enjoy their littles. .
I hang out with an 8 year old and I adore him! He’s 9 now, but I’m always amazed at the things he says. He’s autistic, but his amazing spin on how life is, truly makes you stop and think.
I once told him I am so glad he came into my life when he did…his response….”God knew exactly what He was doing”! And honestly God did!
Glad you are enjoying the “funnies” your kids come up with. Love your blog

    1. Wow! Thanks so much for your beautiful comment and for sharing your own personal experience with kids. That’s such a lovely story about the 9 year old boy! I wish you a wonderful day and all the best! Thanks again! πŸ™‚

  2. Lol I’m sure he’s happier now knowing his father can’t be returned lol…so beautiful! I met a 5 year old who was playing near campus. She caught my attention and I approached her to talk. She told me she likes hanging out here at the university because that’s where she belongs lol. A little creepy but impressive that she’s thinking about college! :-). Blessings
