Fellowship and Gratitude

I had a lovely time at church this morning with the ladies. It was great to exercise and have a fruitful, heartfelt discussion afterwards on the topic of gratitude. It reminded me that God uses our difficult moments to refine us, bring us closer to him and also to let his glory and grace shine for others to see and learn from. If others can see how God brought me through a dark valley, they too can begin to trust him with their own lives. I have to remember this when I’m in med school or residency and things get challenging. I have to ask myself, “how is this refining me?” and “how can my situation be used to help someone else?”
